Y3 Looking Back and Forth 07/02/20

Friday 7TH  February 2020 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

Wow!!! I always start with such a positive word and this week is no exception. The POP UK concerts yesterday were an absolute inspiration and Class Three would like to thank Miss Atkins, Mrs Benson and of course Mr Silver, for bringing this experience into school for us to share. We also have Mr Capewell to thank for our brilliant introductory Rugby lesson this afternoon. Our children loved it and learned so much.

Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • Fish n Chips lunch
  • Rugby with Mr Capewell
  • Performing our Pop UK concerts!!!!!!
  • Book Quizzes
  • Our last session with Mrs Benson before she retires
  • Being with Mrs Sant
  • Once again – everything!

Family discussion questions:

Ask your children…

  • What was our book of the week this week?
  • What skills and rules did they learn in their first rugby session?
  • Challenge Question - What is a colon for in writing?

Looking forward:

Next week promises to be a great final week of this half term as the children will create their books in English, begin their statistics work in Maths, continue with the Romans topic and of course go back in time 2000 years on Thursday for our Chester Roman Experience Trip! Thank you very much to those who have brought their permission slips in for the trip and could I please remind everyone else to grab them and bring them in ASAP.

The spellings for next week will come out on Monday and will be tested on Friday to complete our half term’s spelling work.
