Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 17th June 2022
Y6 – Friday 17th June 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
What a way to finish the week! We have enjoyed continuing our story “The Flower Boy” and this week we have written extracts based upon the story which saw us integrating dialogue into an extract. Maths has seen us finish our White Rose Bakery project in terms of calculations. We will aim to bake the cupcakes at some point over the coming weeks. Our afternoons saw us measuring our lung capacity – lots of blowing, water and pipes everywhere; we welcomed Cheshire Fire and Rescue to our class who gave a great talk about road safety; our ICT project with Mr Cowell was developed further; on Wednesday we had a special session with Mr Daniels from Lower Moss Wood who brought three beautiful owls for us – just us! All of the children were able to hold and stroke these stunning birds – what a special treat this was. On Thursday, we enjoyed having our whole school and class photos then we completed more work on our hats and Friday saw us arrange a great range of stalls for June Evening – it was a scorcher, but such a success. Thank you to all the families for helping to design stalls at home. They were fabulous.
