Friday 14th December - Looking Back and Forth in Year 6
Friday 14th December 2018 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
Over the last week, we have continued our narrative story about “Beowulf” and have begun to grasp the concept of Algebra in maths. We are having “n” amounts of fun and “x” amounts of puzzled faces, too. They have completed studies of Electricity and completed quizzes around the world (not literally).
Year 6 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- Our last Premier Sports session
- Seeing our buddies and watching Wallace and Grommit with them
- Watching the Beowulf story unfold
- Welcoming Mrs. Goodwin – our class governor – into Year 6
Family discussion questions:
- Who wrote “The Christmas Truce”?
- Which countries and capital cities did you research for Mrs. Cooper?
- Have you learned your lines – loud and clear – for the Carol Service?
Looking forward:
Next week, we shall be practising for our Carol Service, completing our end-of-term assessments, finishing off curriculum areas; enjoying special Christmas time with our Buddies.
