Friday 15th October 2021 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

Year 2 have had a busy week preparing for our Exhibition. They have created an published storyboards and fact files, worked collaboratively to create an Aboriginal inspired piece of art plus their own animal picture. They have also created boomerangs and worked with a visiting dancer. An exciting week and the children are looking forward to showing you their work.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

• Dot painting on the boomerangs
• Working with friends to create Aboriginal art
• Agility in PE
• Being a kookaburra in the dance

• What facts can you remember about your animal?

Looking forward:

• Reading books will be changed on Monday. Please ensure your child has their pack with them every day.
• The Exhibition begins! An email with visiting times was sent out today.

English: spelling problem sheet due back on Thursday

Spellings: sheet sent home for the quiz on Thursday

Please read with your child every day. Many children are decoding their reading books well but find answering the comprehension questions much harder. We are working on this at school but it will really help if you can also ask questions during home question time. Please see our class page for further ideas (files section).
