Looking Back and Forth - Friday 6th September 2024
Friday 6th September – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the class have settled in well into the new routines of the class. We have started to think about the new class book for English. Today, the children considered the advantages and disadvantages of being famous! In maths, we started to look at Place Value in maths.
Questions to ask at home -
- Would you like to be famous?
- What would the advantages and disadvantages be?
- Who is the most famous person you know?
Looking forward:
This week, the children will begin to study; states of matter in science, look at mountain ranges across the world as well as contours in geography, looking at what ‘Phishing’ is in e-safety and in French we will be looking at where we live?
Homework in Year 4
Blue sheet – Maths and creating a front cover for their reading journals
Reading – daily at least 15 mins – remember to take the Acelerated Reader Quizzes
Rockstars – as much as possible 10 mins daily is ideal – at least once a week for 20 mins
Spellings – Mrs Riddell – Please learn them for the test on Wednesday. It is better to look at them for 5 minutes each day than try to learn them all in one night. The children remember them better learnt over the week.
Could the children please complete their homework in pencil or blue/black pen not felt tip.
