Reception - week ending 2 February

This week we have been learning about our eyes. I hope you all saw the optical illusion pictures your children brought home?

They have been learning new tricky words in phonics and I am updating their pots with theses words. My phonics group have learnt the ee and ch sounds this week.

In maths it is all about 3D shapes and we are hunting for them around the class and outdoors. Please encourage them to use the words: cuboid, cube, sphere, cone, pyramid and cylinder whenthey find these at home.

We are gearing up for Chinese New Yaer celebrations in the last week of term. The dragon is in the process of been constructed.
