Reception Children's highlights
Digging for worms in the woods was fun and we got some big long ones and some small curled up ones. We learnt about where animals live, like foxes live in dens and moles sleep in nests. We did taking away in maths – we took our dinosaurs out of the swamps. We drew and painted daffodils. We were learning to control the ball with our feet in PE. We have been making our grandparents’ presents.
Family discussion questions
Can humans live underground? Are there underground houses around the world?
Looking forward
We are looking at utilities underground – pipes, wires….
Dates of interest:
Friday 29th March is Grandparents' Tea Party – please let me know if you are able to contribute cakes/biscuits.
Homework
Reading: Reading challenge has been set. The children will get a house point for each day they read at home. Please record your children's reading in their reading record so they don't lose out on their points. We will hand them out on Tuesday afternoon during guided reading sessions.
