Friday 7 February- Looking Back and Forth in Reception

Looking Back – what have we enjoyed this week:

POP UK was absolutely amazing and we all agreed it was wonderful to be a part of such a fun thing. We were singing some of the songs in class this Friday morning. We have managed to do some work alongside all the lovely signing. Our focus was taste and on Tuesday we tasted something sour, something sweet, something bitter and something salty. We looked at our friends tongues to see taste buds. I introduced 3D shape names to the children. Thank you for all the optical illusions – my moment of wonder was that I never knew about looking at myself in a spoon! Concave side you are upside down! How have a missed this trick in my long life -).

Looking forward

Next week we are looking at the sense of smell. We will also continue to look at shape in maths.
