Reception Friday 13th September Looking back and forth

The children are very settled now in school and getting to grips with the new routines. They have attended assemblies (I tell them it is story time) with Year 1 and Year 2 classes. They are coping extremely well with lunches: getting their knives and forks and carrying their tray to collect their food then choosing their pudding and drinks. We are very impressed with how well they carry their trays to the table - no spillages yet! I am continuing to do their baseline testing 1:1 and have now completed the literacy side and have started on the maths. The children had music on Monday afternoon with Mrs Hext and the other half will do so this Monday. 

There were two invitations in their bags today. One for Franscesca's party and one for the class social. I found a class social letter on the carpet after everyone had gone home so if you didn't get one let me know on Monday. 

I am still waiting for 3 flu letters to be returned. Thank you for the enthusiastic response for the school trip to Mosi. I am going there tomorrow morning for a pre visit.
