Reception Friday 3rd May Looking back and forth

Friday 3rd  May 2019 - Looking Back and Forth in Reception

Looking Back

English/KUW: Letter writing – as you know we are going to the post office on Wednesday to send our letters home.

Maths: Number recognition and counting. Working on numbers: ordering and adding.

Art: Colour mixing using a salad mixer which built on their knowledge about colour and the use of primary colours to make secondary colours.

PE: Mini-athletics with Premier Sport coaches on Friday. The children learnt about pace and control. It was a great lesson and their listening skills were very good.

Reception Children's highlights

The children enjoyed using the salad spinner and they have brought a picture home today. Buddy time and the picnic lunch on Thursday.

Family discussion questions

Does everyone in your home have a favourite room and which is it and why?

Looking forward

Our walk to the Post Office and our writing is based around their favourite room in their home.
