Reception Looking and Forth week ending 14 May 2021

Hello

This week our writing was about their favourte room in the house and what they like doing most in that room. They also drew a picture of the room. In Maths we did number sequences and problem solving. The Art focus is drawing and they have been doing sketches of skeletons and bugs. These will all go into their art books. In music no doubt you have heard we did "Our House" by Madness which they loved! PE both on Tuesday and Friday was fun and they came back buzzing but I can report they cannot run in straight lines yet. Work in progress. We have been gardening and painting too. Phonics is going well but their are a few sounds we revised this week: oa/ai/er/or/ar.  Reading is going very well in Reception and thank you for all your comments in the reading records it helps so much. Let's hope we have some chicks hatch on Monday!
