Reception looking back and forth Friday 23rd October 2020
Well our first half term has whizzed by and I hope that you all enjoy your half term holiday. I know that the children are tired and that is all down to them working and focussing so hard this first term. This past week we have made the superhero car which is now at Goostrey train station. Our writing focus this week has been a superhero mission map which they drew and labled. We also learnt about Harvest and we picked some cooking apples from the trees at school and made apple pie which we had a taster of on Thursday. In maths we focused on number recognition and formation. In phonics we have introducted a few phase 3 tricky words and continue to learn the correct formation of the letters. The children have enjoyed being outside and they collectively made some super obstacle courses. Great excitment was had on Wednesday morning when the new bark arrived for the adventure playground with most of them supervising the young men barrowing and raking this out.
