Looking back and forth Week ending 11th February 2022

In English we have finished their recount of Little Red. The children remembered the story well adding lots of detail in their writing. 
In Maths we have worked on subitising - so recognising number in different forms. 
Model making was the highlight of the week! They were all very definite on what they wanted to make. Apologies for some of the lovely huge structures brought home!  
In phonics we are working quickly through all the Phase 3 sounds and when we learn a new sound, I do add it to their pot. The expectation is for them to know and apply all phase 3 sounds and tricky words before they go into Year 1. We are progressing well but daily input from home helps to embed the learning.
