Reception looking back and forth week ending Friday 16th September 22

Hello all

We have had a lovely week together again. They are growing in confidence and enjoying school very much. I know they are feeling quite tired now but their stamina will build.

This week they have heard the story on i and p and learnt the actions for these phonic sounds. We have also been blending sounds to make words like: it is sit sat pat pit  .....

We went for a very exciting walk through the woods and found many different mushrooms. So we are going to explore this inspirational idea for the exhibition. The children are finding the wood walks magical and looking carefully for the fungi. 

The Exhibition is in October at the end of term. You will be invited to come and look around and also the class will be singing at 3pm on the first day (19th). The exhibition runs over two days on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th of October. 

On Tuesday and Wednesday this coming week I would like all the afternoon children to come and have lunch at school. Please arrive at 11:45 am at the classroom. If your child is at pre-school in the morning Nicola knows and will bring them over at 11:45am. So no packed lunches necessary next week! Yeah I hear you saying.

The children will have their first meeting with the Year 6 class next Friday. I will let them have a play together and explain to them about having a buddy in Year 6.
