Reception looking back and forth 17th January
Friday 17th January 2020- Looking Back and Forth in Reception
Looking Back – what have we enjoyed:
The children said:
"We love the new reading corner with ice bear."
"The doctor’s surgery is fun."
This week the children have done lots of counting and number recognition. I am working on making them count accurately touching each item. In writing they labelled a picture of a person writing out the body parts – they are all using their phonics well. In RE we talked about trust. They enjoyed Gymnastics on Friday morning and Dance on Tuesday afternoon. We looked at out fingerprints as part of our touch theme this week, Each child read in a group this week as we always do. Please don’t forget to go over the sounds and words in your pots.
Looking forward
Next week we are looking at the sense of hearing. We are continuing with our maths on number recognition to 20 and addition.
Questions you could discuss at home:
Does everyone in the family have to same finger prints.
Can you trust someone to guide you around a room when you are blind folded? (This relates to our trust theme in RE lessons and our topic of touch).
