Reception weekly news update
Hello all
A lovely and busy week again. I think the highlight was the dress rehearsal when all the juniors and pre schoolers came to watch. I think it finally made sense to them about singing up and sitting nicely which we have been impressing on them at each practice. They had a great audience and responded well. So you have a real treat to look forward to next week!
In class this week they have each written a letter to Santa, painted and decorated a Santa and done the base painting for our crafty activities next week. We all did numberwork and number formation which they are making great progress in. Phonics has been all about reading and revision of all the sounds learnt this term.
We took the children out on the field this morning to enjoy the frosty grass. I took a photo of them each for their art books as it is another form of printing - frosty footprints!
As you know the christmas shop has been open and this has taken a fair amount of time to get them all through but a lovely exprerience. I have asked that the shop be open on Monday for any last minute shoppers and for those who have been unwell this week.
I will be drawing the raffle winners on Wednesday at 1pm in class.
Have a lovely weekend and keep the germs away! I would love to have everyone in next week as we have lots of fun things planned.
