It was great to see the children back in school, happy and enthusiastic. We had a fantastic first week, with the children really knucking straight back down and working hard.

This week we will be undertaking some more work in preparation for our Burwardsley residential - looking at Ordnance Survey maps among other things. In English we will be studying 'The Iron Man' and writing a recount based on this wonderful book. In maths, we will continue to explore number and place value.

Wider Opportunities: This week the children will be having a look at the different instruments that are on offer to play for the rest of the year. Look out for a letter coming home on Wednesday which will give you more information about the Wider Opps scheme.
