wb 26.2.18 Year 1
Hi All,
Hope you all had a good half term holiday. Although this is a short half term we have a lot to pack in.
In English for the next three weeks we will be completing a unit on Recounts. The first week we are going to be writing a recount for the half term holiday. So a quick reminder chat with your child will be helpful. (It also saves the despair of seeing ‘I watched TV all week!’ when you have had an action packed time!)
In maths we will be continuing our work on addition. In particular, looking at number bonds for 10 and 20.
The children have used ictgames and Topmarks addition games – if you get a chance to access them at home, they’re free and the children really enjoyed the chance to consolidate their addition skills on these games.
In the afternoons the children will be continuing their work on megastructures and seasonal changes.
