Ask your children...
what they saw and learned at the Arboretum.
what they learned about Henry Moore's WWII drawings.
about their fantastic diary entries for the day WWII was declared.
The children were brilliantly behaved at the Arboretum and said how interesting and thought provoking they found this trip.
This week we will be drawing/painting our own pictures in the style of Henry Moore, who produced some very atmospheric sketches of people sheltering in the London Underground during the Blitz. In maths, we will be focusing on sequences of numbers and then multiplication/division strategies. Our writing will focus on more diary writing based on Evacuation.
Don't forget that the children will be having their individual photos taken on Wednesday.
Wider Opportunities: Most children have now got their instrument. Spare copies of any music they need will always be kept in a drawer in the classroom.
