we 10th February Year 1
Hi All,
In Literacy we will be looking at poetry and in particular poems with a repetitive nature. We will be exploring rhyming words, so if you have a chance could you explore rhyming words with your child? Could be a lot of fun on the way home from school, and has the added benefit of supporting their spelling strategies as well.
In maths we will be continuing our work on place value and then move onto doubling numbers.
In the afternoons the children will have Religious Education (looking at ‘Belonging’ and Music (with Mrs Hext) on Monday. For the rest of the week the children will continue their work ‘Life Long Ago, Completing a picture for the World Book Day competition as well as P.E. lessons and Show and Tell Friday!
