we 18th November Year 1
Hi All,
The children have enjoyed exploring Autumn, in their seasonal changes work, as well as researching nocturnal animals this week.
In Literacy this week we will continue to look at Information Texts – This week we are going to write our own information text about owls.
If you have a chance at home to look at information books and especially focus on the features (front cover, title page, contents page, captions and photographs or diagrams) this would really support the children’s learning.
In maths we will be continuing our work on adding. We will then be moving onto money. If you could let your child explore coins with you – looking at different ways to make amounts. Not only is it great fun, but will also support your child’s learning in school.
Also looking at clocks and if you can – looking at o clock and half past.
Highlights this week from the children.
