Looking back:
This week we have written character and setting descriptions for Jack and the Beanstalk. We have begun to look at addition using part part whole model before we use the addition symbol.
We have compared trees in summer to trees now when looking at seasonal changes in Science.
In History, we have described events in past space exploration.
Year 1 – Pupils’ Highlights:
√ Using the part part whole to solve addition questions in Maths.
√ Reading two syllable words in Phonics.
√ Comparing trees through summer and autumn in Science.
√ Writing character and setting descriptions in English.
√ Described past events in space exploration in History.

Looking forward:
Next week we will be writing the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and in Maths we will continue to look at addition.
