Friday 10th June 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
A great first week back after the half term break. We explored our new text in English. In reading comprehension work we used inference skills. In maths we have been using all the skills learned so far in Year 2. In science we began looking at our new topic – Young Masterchefs and the children devised interesting questions to explore over the next half term. The children have also experienced regular phonics, PE, geography and music and more.

Looking forward:
- Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
- PE will be on Fridays. Please ensure school PE kit is worn.
- Father’s Day shops on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please ensure money is in a named envelope or purse.
- Class and whole school photo on Thursday
- June Evening on Friday after school on the Junior site. Come along for fun and games!
