Friday 25th November 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
It has been a busy week at school with Fluenz vaccinations, photographs and parent appointments. Thank you for helping your child learn their lines for the play. Please keep practising as we only have two weeks before we need to be ready – they need to know them off by heart. An email about costumes was also sent out this week so please have a look but if you have questions then please ask me!

Tell your families about Celtic roundhouses.
What are the capital cities of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
Looking forward:
- Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
- Scripts need to be in school every day.
- PE will be on Tuesdays. School PE kits should be worn.
- If your child goes to football on Friday after school they need to wear school uniform and bring a change of clothes
- Multiplication in maths
- Publishing their stories
- Tudor houses
Homework
Reading – please read regularly with your child at home and encourage them to use phonics to sound out unfamiliar words.
Maths – none this week due to English homework
English – learn lines for the nativity production off by heart
Spelling – words with silent w for the quiz on Friday and also a game to practise this task.
