Y3 - w.e 18.1.19 - Looking back and forth
Friday 18th January 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3
Looking back:
Over the last week, we have continued work on our myths and legends, used ICT to read a selection of myths as well as been on our own quest around school finding inspiration for settings. Meanwhile in maths we have been working on counting on by bridging on a number line.
Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- Writing our myth opening was exciting!
- Everything!
- I really enjoyed PE because the circuits are always unpredictable and always fun.
- Maths, working on the number line was fun because we were able to remind ourselves of this method.
- The new topic in science on light is really interesting.
- I liked the ICT work in English, it was fun to look at the myth stories.
- I liked our breaktimes when people played fairly with the ball.
- Drawing our own Trinity pictures in RE, I could make the colours look really stunning.
Family discussion questions:
- What three parts make up The Trinity for Christians?
- When we write the English and French months of the year how is the punctuation different?
- Have you learned your timetables? It is ‘Week 4’ next Friday.
Looking forward:
Next week, we shall be completing our counting on using number lines. English lessons will see us using our imaginations to write our mythical stories.
