Y3 Looking back and forth 16.10.20
Friday 16th October 2020 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3
Looking back:
What a lot we have achieved this week. We have begun to work on our new method in Maths for addition and exchanging and we have all grasped it really well – brilliant Class 3! In English, we have worked hard to prepare and plan for our final piece and are raring to go with that now! We have received some compliment for our RE work this week too as we have continued to look at how Christians view God and in Geography, we have begun to explore our climate and the effects of rainfall on our country. We are very proud of our history timelines, having completed them today and in Science and French we were busy exploring the human body and our muscles and learning skateboarding French speaker! It’s been ‘all go!’
Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- Pictorial methods for addition in Maths
- Skateboarding French session!!!!!!!!
- Science with Mrs Riddle – learning about bodies and muscles
- All of our word work and planning ready for our BIG write next week
- Completing the timeline in History as beautifully as possible
- Eating at lunch time!
- Home time and bed time to REST – finally!
- Being with funny Mrs Sant
- And…everything!
Family discussion questions:
Ask your children…
- How can art show what Christians believe God is like?
- What is the new method for addition?
- Challenge Question: Can you finish the phrase…frozen still – overwhelmed with…
Looking forward:
Next week, we will be working hard to produce our very best work in English as we bring together everything we have learned so far this half term to present our own threat narrative. Maths will see us introduce the formal written method and Science will continue to investigate the human body. History will be concerned with composing a formal piece of writing about a Great British Inventor and Geography will continue to look into our climate by looking at our moon ~ so much more too of course!
Well done everyone for going for it!
Thank you, take care and I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Sant
