Y3 Looking Back and Forth 4/3/22
Friday 4th March 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3
Looking back:
What a great week back after our Half Term break. The children seem well rested and ready to go. We have made a great start to our new English topic and we love our new book already. The Rhythm Of The Rain is a hit! We have completed our work on money this week with lots more practise as we move forward, in history, we wrote all about the young life of George Stephenson, in Geography we studied the temperate climate of the UK, in art, we learned how to create the second layer of our collage piece and in computing, we learned more about coding and created our own moving character!
Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- Hockey with Premier Sports
- Stepping inside our new book in English
- Story time with books by Jon Klassen
- Sharing our reading shelf
- Drawing in art our second layer
- Friday’s Fish n Chips lunch!
- Everything!
Family discussion questions:
Ask your children…
- What does temperate mean?
- What is the name of our new book in English?
- Challenge: What have e learned about hockey so far?
Looking forward:
Another jam packed week is before us as we investigate the scene of a jungle in English, study statistics in maths, write about George Stephenson’s working life in History, are introduced to regions and counties in Geography, continue to learn new skills in hockey, work on more collage in art, learn more about the Synagogue in RE and enjoy more music.
Just a quick reminder that PE is on Friday for the next 4 weeks and trousers need to be worn please.
