Y3 Looking Back and Forth 6/3/20

Friday 6TH  March 2020 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

Busy, busy again this week! We really enjoyed our new book of the week ~ Shh! We have a plan and loved our time relaxing on World Book Day as we spent time sharing our books from home whilst wearing our slippers. We have been working hard in History to learn more about Hadrian’s Wall and the three invasions of Britain. Swimming was a highlight of the week this week too as so many children managed to develop to a really high standard and build on their stamina. We are all hooked on our class book – The Roman Diary – Iliona’s Journal and are eager to find out if she will ever be free from the Senator’s Domus.

  • Fish n Chips for Friday lunch!
  • Division lesson in Maths.
  • Hadrian’s Wall work.

Looking forward:

Next week will be another busy week as we continue to learn about the resistance to the Roman invasions and in particular, the Celtic Queen Boudica. We will also be writing about The Roman Diary, Iliona’s Journal in English, continuing with Fractions in Maths, practising our French phrases, looking further into our Science topic of Animals, including humans, skeletons and working hard in swimming. We will be testing our spellings on Monday of next week and look forward to welcoming you all to our Year 3 Parents’ Evening too.
