Y3 w.e 14.6.19 Looking Back & Forth
Friday 14th June 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3
Looking back:
In English we have undertaken a selection of tests, assessing pupil progress. We also continued our work on Medicine and Healthcare as well as began to act out plays! We have been swimming again as well as enjoyed the June Evening activities.
Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- Father’s Day cards were fun because we got to design our front covers and add lots of colours.
- I enjoyed the arithmetic test because I think I did a great job!
- I enjoyed our timestables, week 3 as I was correct on all of them AND I am looking forward to the new homework style.
- I am really looking forward to June Evening as I can’t wait to run my stall!
- I enjoyed the topic and ICT quiz we created for our parents or grandparents to answer.
Family discussion questions:
- Explain one fact about medicine through the ages?
- Calculate ¾ of 12, so what is ¾ of 120? How did you calculate them both? Explain how they are linked?
- True or false? We will see inverted commas when reading a playscript.
- Can you give at least 3 features we would expect to see in a playscript?
Looking forward:
Next week we will be continuing our work on Medicine and Healthcare as well as converting amounts of liquids ml è L and visa versa and beginning to read and write persuasive arguments … this week they will be based on disgruntled traditional tale characters!
