Y4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 28th June

Friday 28th June  – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4

Looking back:

This week, the class has worked on their diary entries for their work on the journey.  Wow, wow, wow, is all I can say.  The work is outstanding!    In maths, we have been looking at halves and quarters as decimals.  Today, we worked on clockwise, anticlockwise, quarter turns, half turns and whole turns.  Our heads were literally spinning!

Questions to ask at home  -

  • What is clockwise?
  • What is anticlockwise?
  • What is a half as a decimal?
  • What is a quarter as a decimal?
  • What is three quarters as a decimal?

Children’s highlights of the week

  • Working on angles and turns in maths
  • The catch-up art with Mrs B
  • Writing my diary
  • My Happy Mind
  • We are all looking forward to Rose Day!

 Looking forward:

This week,  the children will be working on the Take One Picture project.  Working on climate graphs in geography, exploring the Vedas in Hinduism and looking at the work of Roy Lichtenstein in art.
