Y4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 28th March 2025
Friday 28th March – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the children have been exploring a newspaper report. Looking at headlines, bylines and the figurative language used in these type of texts. In maths, we have working on perimeter of rectilinear shapes. On Thursday afternoon, the class created wonderful forest art Viking longboats. The weather was kind and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Questions to ask at home -
- What is perimeter?
- What is a closed shape?
- What is a rectilinear shape?
- Is a square a rectangle?
- What type of angles do rectilinear shapes have?
Children’s highlights of the week
- TTRockstars
- Everything!
- Painting our brooches
- Lunch!
- Viking art in the woods
Looking forward:
Next week, the class have some quizzes, just see how they are progressing. In the afternoons, the children will be; researching Viking Gods, working on branching databases in computing and looking at the instruments and tempo in Peter and the Wolf.
