Y5 20.12.19 Looking Back and Forth
Friday 20th December 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 5
Looking back:
This week we have enjoyed the lovely Christmas Services. If you managed to attend one of them, I’m sure you would agree they were very special.
We have also completed our Ancient Greece topic. The children have produced some wonderful work books. You are always welcome to call in and take a look at your child’s work, I know they are very proud of them.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas. Many thanks for my cards and gifts - they were much appreciated.
Year 5 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- We really enjoyed taking part in the Christmas Service.
- We loved the pantomime on the last afternoon of term.
Family discussion questions:
- Ask the children for some of the children’s ‘top-ten facts’ about Ancient Greece.
- Ask the children to tell you all about the pantomime.
Looking forward:
When we return in January, the children will be starting a history topic based on World War II, and a new geography topic – ‘Water’. The knowledge organisers for these topics are available on our class page.
Wider Opportunities:
To be updated with next term’s practise pieces in January.
