Y5 21.6.19 Looking Back and Forth
Friday 21st June 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 5
Looking back:
The children seemed to really enjoy the trip to the Bridgewater Hall. They loved the concert and seemed to get a lot out of it. These are some of their comments:
We loved hearing the Halle play live.
We loved the whole concert. Especially when the presenter dressed as Superman.
We liked seeing our parents in the audience have to dance.
We liked playing along with the Halle.
It was an amazing experience.
Year 5 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- We enjoyed the beginning of the story about ‘Tukku-Tukku and Samson’ and learning about Caribbean culture.
- We enjoyed designing our own Moving Toy.
Family discussion questions:
Ask your children…
- To tell you their favourite part of the Bridgewater Hall concert.
- To tell you about cam mechanisms and how their moving toy will work.
Looking forward:
The children have Bike-ability on Monday and Tuesday. They will need to wear their usual school t-shirt/jumper/cardigan and trousers/shorts suitable for riding a bike.
We will also be making some moving toys this week in our design and technology lessons.
