Friday 6th September 2024 – Y5 Weekly Update
Looking back:
It’s lovely to have the children back, full of enthusiasm - it's been a lovely first week. They have been so hard working and settled brilliantly - we've actually got lots done!
Year 5 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- We loved being back with our friends!
- We really enjoyed learning about the Space Race.
Family discussion questions:
- Can the children remember some of the key dates from the Space Race?
- Can the children tell you any of the key facts about Hinduism we looked at today?
Looking forward:
Next week, we begin our topic on Ancient Greece – this is going to be our main focus for our exhibition work.
In maths we will be exploring placed value and in English we will be immersing ourselves in the brilliant book, Where Once We Stood. This links to our science topic all about space.
Just a reminder, it is our Start of Year Meeting on Monday (9th) at 4pm in the Y5 classroom.
