Y6 - Friday 8th February 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
So, as you may have heard, we’ve enjoyed a “Wild Week” in Year 6 – and all classes. On Monday, we spent time with Nick Rowles. He is an education officer from The Quinta Forest School and he spent time talking with our class to explain how to “date trees”. There are some photos in our gallery if you’d like to take a look. We read Jeanne Willis’ book “Wild Child” and then planned and wrote about our own versions. Why not take a look at the photos and take time to read our writing – we’ve uploaded these into two collections (we know they are large documents, so this may help). The children have really enjoyed the week and we’d like to thank Mrs. Freeman for organising this.
The class has also continued with their learning on evolution and has begun to broaden their understanding of RE. Two afternoons this week, they have used a wide range of media to design their own artwork in preparation for our upcoming art display. They are a really creative bunch!
We have one more week to enjoy and then half-term beckons – where is the time going?
