Y6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 15th November 2019
Y6 - Friday 15th November 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
This week, we have been working on a range of tasks including: completing news reports based upon “The Highwayman”; learning about 3D shapes and their vocabulary; calculating prime factors using ‘factor trees’; listening to Mrs. Cuttle talk about her special place; locating climate zones; learning about biomes; and enjoying mindfulness and wellbeing.
Friday afternoon was chilly, but exciting as the children worked with their buddies at choosing which activities they wanted to try, including working with willow; colouring; stories and snuggles; PE and games; walking a mile; and making bug hotels. What a great afternoon.
Thank you to all our families for attending parents’ evenings – it was lovely to chat about how well the children are doing.
The downloads and revision sheets for maths and grammar will begin to come home this week, but many are already available to download from the website, just click on the "Y6 Revision and Support" tab. Thank you (Mrs. Timmins)
