Friday 6th December – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, has been a super week. Year 4 won the local TTRockstars competition against all the schools in the local area. We worked through maths unit on area, which we were pretty confident in. We did lots of research about Arctic foxes, we know lots of amazing facts.
Questions to ask at home -
- What can you tell me about Arctic foxes?
- What is area?
- What do Arctic foxes eat?
- Do Arctic foxes hibernate?
- What is amazing about their fur and paws?
Children’s highlights of the week
- Creating electrical circuits
- History – learning more about the Anglo-Saxons and how they dyed fabric
- Lunch – fish and chips!
- Learning about Arctic foxes in English
- Working with Mrs Fairhurst
- Learning about area in maths
- Learning cool facts about Arctic foxes – their amazing paws and fur!
Looking forward:
This week, the children will be going to the Christmas Shop on Tuesday morning. Can you please make sure your child brings in their money and bag on Monday, so we can make sure we are ready for Tuesday.
The children will be exploring electrical conductors and insulators in science. Creating honey cakes to an Anglo-Saxon recipe in history and design technology. They will also be rehearsing for the Christmas Carol Service. The children will also have their last session with the students from HCCS on Micro:bits.
