Year 1 homework

Dear all,

It seems there is some confusion regarding homework.  To clarify, the homework given each week is; spellings to learn following a specific spelling pattern and handwriting based on the main letter within the spellings. There is also an option to gain a House Point for writing any new words following the specific spelling pattern.

The amount given as homework is dependent on the amount of words that are retained in the spelling test we do each Friday morning.

Reading each night, if possible, is encouraged and children can earn 10 house points for reading for 14 consecutive nights.
