Year 1 we 15th September
Hi All,
The ‘News’ part of the class webpage is updated weekly. You can catch up with all the great things the children have been exploring in class as well as notices of upcoming events.
This week in English we will be exploring Billy’s Bucket. Imagining the wonderful things that could be found inside and writing sentences about them.
In maths, we will be looking at counting. We will be using the laptops and playing fun counting games. 'Ict games' and 'topmarks' counting games are ones that we use. The children really enjoy working on these programmes. As well working on the computers we will be exploring our numbers to 20 . We will also be sorting things into groups and explain why we have grouped them in particular ways.
In the afternoon, we will be exploring our bodies in science. We are also beginning our exhibition work. We have Premier Sports with us this week, so we definitely need P.E. kits in school.
