Year 1 we 26th January
Hi All,
This week we will finish our writing on Spring, then we will be moving into Summer (wishful thinking - Miss Bairstow and I can get our summer glad-rags on again!!).
If you could discuss the changes of the seasons with your child, that would be helpful. If you could talk about the things that change; animals (hibernating or more fur), the plants (leaves on the trees) and the weather (cold and hot).
In maths we are looking at addition and problem solving with numbers to 20. We will look at always starting to count on from the bigger number. (commutative law) Using their knowledge of number bonds to 10 to find number bonds to 20.
In the afternoons the children are going to working on their topic on mega structures and the science behind seasonal changes as well as British birds.
