Year 1 WE 9th November

This week we have enjoyed:

• Using atlases to identify countries in the UK.
• Identifying tricky words in Phonics.
• Writing the story of Jack and the Beanstalk- we used; adjectives,capital letters, conjuctions 'and' and but' and full stops.
• Discussing the moral issues in the story- Was Jack naughty? greedy? Was he right to steal the money?
• Practically solving addition questions using part part whole model to break down the elements of number sentences.
• Practising ball skills in PE. (Throwing, catching and rolling)

Thank you to those of you that watched our performance and looked at the exhibition last half term. The children worked incredibly hard and loved seeing their work on display.
