Year 2 18th January Looking back and forth
Friday 18th January 2018 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
Another busy week for Year 2, with the children learning a new writing style and applying their knowledge of addition and subtraction to solve problems. We have started a new topic in both Science and RE lessons.
We are making sure our class has good manners and excellent learning skills – well done Year 2. We have also been thinking about what being a good friend means.
The children are enjoying ordering their lunch in the morning so we can reduce food waste and ensure everyone gets their preferred meal. It would be helpful if you can talk about the menu for the day and help them decide.
Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- The Great Fire of London
- Solving problems in maths
- Writing a recount of a real event
- Homophones
- Gymnastics – balance skills

Family discussion questions:
- What is a habitat?
- When was Samuel Pepys alive?
- What are shark fins (trick question)?
