Year 2 31st January Looking Back and Forth
Friday 31st January 2020 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
This week the children have finished and published their recount about the Great Fire of London. In maths, we have revised arithmetic skills and learned how important it is to read the questions carefully.
We have been busy reading texts and answering questions about it in our guided reading sessions. Most children have now been benchmarked and moved up book bands when ready – the rest will be finished next week. The children also love voting for the end of the day story each day – they get very excited to find out the winner.
This week we have been learning the songs for the POPuk concert which takes place next Thursday afternoon. It has been a really enjoyable experience for everyone.
