Year 2 7th June Looking Back and Forth
Friday 7th June 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
The children have started to write about their fantastic trip to Quinta Forest School. In reading time, we have been looking at inference skills – what you can find out about a text using wider knowledge of the world. In RE we are investigating what God means to Christians and thinking about the story of Creation. This has led to lots of discussion about why we learn about religion. The children decided that knowing about different beliefs would help them to be a good friend. We have used our maths knowledge to keep arithmetic skills secure. Please keep learning the 2,5 and 10 times tables at home plus the corresponding division once known.
Maypole dancing continued despite the weather. It’s lots of fun although there is a lot to remember. The children have to learn the steps, skip in time, work as a team and remember their left and right hands! Please remember water bottles and sunscreen at this time of year as we will practise several times a week.
