Friday 17th June 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
What a busy week we have had! We explored our new text, Rosie Revere, in English. The children have learned lots of new vocabulary that they hope to use in their writing. In maths we have been using all the skills learned so far in Year 2. In science we looked at food groups. The children have also experienced regular phonics, PE, geography and music and more.

Looking forward:
- Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
- PE will be on Fridays. Please ensure school PE kit is worn.
- Writing a story using all the skills learned in Year 2
- Science -a healthy and balanced diet
- History – features of castles
- Maths – telling the time to five minute intervals
- Sports Day 115pm on Tuesday 5th July (reserve 115pm Friday 8th July). You are most welcome to come and watch.
Homework in Year 2
Please ensure all homework is completed and do let me know if you have any concerns
Maths – greater than/less than sheet due back on Friday
Spellings – /s/ making the /zh/ sound sheet due back on Friday for our quiz
English – sentences about a picture due back
Reading – please read regularly with your child.
