Year 2 Looking Back and Forth 18 December
Friday 18th December 2020 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
Thank you for a fantastic week at school Year 2. We were treated to a performance of Peter Pan on Monday and we also experienced “The Cherry Coloured Coat.” We all really enjoyed these performances.
We have been busy publishing our finished versions of the Night Gardener story for our class display. Maths was all about division. In art we finished the water colour pictures of Florence Nightingale – we have some fabulous artists in Year 2!
Thank you for all the cards, messages and gifts. I feel very lucky and am looking forward to opening them on Christmas Day. Please check your School Spider emails for a message too.
Happy Christmas everyone. I hope you have a restful and safe holiday.

Homework in Year 2
Please read with your child every day. Many children are decoding their reading books well but find answering the comprehension questions much harder. We are working on this at school but it will really help if you can also ask questions during home question time. Please see our class page for further ideas (files section).
Maths: division sheet due Friday 8th Jan
English: reading comprehension due Friday 8th Jan
Spellings: common year 2 words to be quizzed on Friday 8th Jan.
As the holidays are approaching I have given the children an extra week to complete this work.
Merry Christmas to you all!
