Friday 7th July 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
In English we have used joined up handwriting to publish part of the Rosie Revere story. In maths we used all our arithmetic skills learned so far. We have also been very busy in RE, Science, History, Geography, music, French and phonics. Phew!

Looking forward:
- Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
- This half term PE will be on Friday. School PE kits should be worn.
- Monday – meet Mrs Sant, the Year 3 teacher
- Friday – Design Technology making castles
Homework
Reading –
please read regularly with your child at home using the books sent in their reading folder, plus any books from home that they enjoy. Ask questions about what they have read.
Maths –
- Learn 2,5 and 10 times-tables for our weekly quiz. You could use the websites below:

Spellings –
We will have a quiz of spelling rules learned in Year 2 on Friday. Nothing sent home as we want to see what the children have retained.
History –
If the castles poster has not been completed it should be returned by Friday so they can go into the children’s books.
