Year 3 Looking Back and Forth 8/11/24

Friday 8th  November 2024 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

It’s been lovely, welcoming the children back after their Half Term break this week and they have been really busy, as always. Our daily reading and Accelerated Reader sessions have continued to help us improve our reading and understanding too. We made a fantastic start in PE by beginning our Tag Rugby sessions for this term, in English, we stepped inside a brand-new book, all about Jemmy Button, we have continued with our addition and subtraction work in maths this week too as well as comparing South Africa and Goostrey using digital technology in Geography. We began our project work on computer programming by coding Micro’bits and our improving our singing work in music. We loved learning greetings in French and Science was comparing human and animal bones.

Well done Class 3 for being won-der-ful!!!

Looking forward:

Next week, we will be continuing to write our extended piece of writing about the importance of Egypt in History, working on the laptops to compare Elizabethfontein and Goostrey and their surrounding areas, beginning to explore ways that different religions view God in RE, continuing to sing in Music and learn how to improve our skills, working towards a return story in English, enjoying our second session if Tag Rugby on Friday and continuing with addition and subtraction in maths.

Thank you again for a wonderful week and I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,
