Year 4 Friday 22nd November - Looking Back and Forth
Friday 22nd November – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the children had a very busy week. We had forest school on Monday afternoon and hedge planting on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday, we had Micro:bits, with the students from HCCS and the dance workshop after school. On Thursday, we learnt how to play Pickle ball and refined our archery skills in our extra P.E. session, and on Friday we had P.E. The class loved all the activities and it was great to spend time outside, even if the weather was a bit on the ‘parky’ side!
Questions to ask at home -
- What happened at forest schools?
- What did you find out about the deer fur and skulls?
- Where did you plant your hedge?
- Why? What will benefit from the hedges being there?
- What was the best thing about archery and pickle ball?
Children’s highlights of the week
- E. with Mrs Murdoch
- Playing pickle ball and archery
- Building a den and learning all about the animal furs and skulls
- Looking at the hedgehog shelter
- Learning about the different leaves
Looking forward:
This week, the children will be creating their stop frame animations. Learning about society in Anglo-Saxon Britain. They will also be exploring strategies for checking addition and subtraction in maths and writing their own outsider narrative in English.
