Year 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 24th January 2025
Friday 17th January – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the class looked at what makes a good myth narrative in preparation for creating our own myths in the next two weeks. We looked a figurative language and why it is used. We looked at different examples and wrote them into example sentences. We particularly enjoyed the hyperboles.
In maths, the children looked at dividing and multiplying by 0 and 1 as well as multiplying 3 numbers. We explored the vocabulary of factors and product.
Questions to ask at home -
- What is a possessive apostrophe?
- What is a metaphor?
- what is onomatopeia? Can you think of 2 good examples
- What is a simile?
- What is personification?
- What is a hyperbole?
- What is a factor in maths?
- What is a product in maths?
If your child brings the answers to these questions by Wednesday, they will win 25 housepoints!
